Pugh Park in Christoval Texas

Pugh Park is a local attraction in Christoval, Texas. The park is maintained by Tom Green County, and there is no charge for admission. The park features free access to some of the best water on the South Concho River. The park has large pecan trees along the shoreline that provided welcomed shade to summer visitors.

It is not unusual for the park to have 500 visitors on a weekend. Visitors come from across the state to enjoy the beautiful scenery and cool water.  Perhaps the most popular attraction at the park is the rope swing. This rope swing is one of the best in the country, and requires a certain amount of nerve to actually use. Below are some fairly incredible videos of visitors on the Rope Swing and doing other stunts from the trees.

Visitors to the park enjoy the coolness of the shade of the pecan trees, and enjoy swimming and other river activities. The photo album below shows scenes from a typical weekend in the park.
